Ramona López, Family Strengthening Program Manager.

Our Staff – Ramona López

We want you to meet our staff! Though you may know some of them, or have met them if you’ve visited, we want to share more about them and what they do for CEPAD.

Ramona López is the manager of our Family Strengthening Program, and oversees the workshops and implementation of this program throughout the regions where we work. Our Family Strengthening Program encompasses youth leadership development, family gardens, project patio, women’s craft training, and community banking. After working with CEPAD for 2 years as a volunteer, Ramona came on staff and will celebrate 27 years with us this month.

Ramona has degrees in teaching and psychology, which becomes very helpful as she works mainly with women and children to strengthen families in rural Nicaragua. She is a life-long learner who continues teaching and learning from the communities we accompany. “By working with the communities, I’ve learned many things that I didn’t learn at university. I believe in the mission of CEPAD because we do important work by facilitating the process of local and sustainable development in poor communities selected to strengthen their skills and find solutions to their own problems.”

Ramona invites you to participate in our mission. “Please keep supporting CEPAD. Your contributions are investing in the future of 40 communities that need your help to accomplish sustainable development in their communities.”

Thank you, Ramona, for the knowledge you bring to CEPAD and your passion for helping others. You are an important part of our team!
